Made of top-quality leather these headstalls are Amish made and handcrafted. They have a double-ply and double-stitched browband which is 3/4" in width. The cheek strap is also 3/4" wide and double-ply and double-stitched while the throat latch strap is single-ply and 5/8" in width. A Chicago Screw is used to fasten the browband to the cheek strap and the throat latch strap and a Conway Buckle is used to fasten the bit to the headstall. If preferred a Rosette or a Leather Lace Tie could be used in place of the Chicago Screw and a Water Loop with a Leather Tie could be used in place of the Conway Buckle at the bit. Matching 5/8" wide by 7' long split reins are included. All of the edges are finished and painted for a professional look and a tough coat is applied for added protection. The hardware, in these headstalls, is stainless steel for looks and durability, with the option of using solid brass instead. These headstalls can be either tooled on the browband and the cheek straps or they can be left plain with no tooling. All of the leather, in these headstalls, is hand cut a piece at a time and the tooling is done completely by hand. These headstalls DO NOT include a bit or curb strap. They must be purchased separately.
